Innovative stabilizers for hydrolysis protection

Carbodiimides utilized as hydrolysis stabilizers have been available for many years. Nevertheless, a loss of performance, such as decomposition and discoloration, often still occurred. RASCHIG identified this problem and was able to improve the application significantly through the introduction of the G series. These granulated stabilizers are aggregate-free and consist of 100 % pure carbodiimides in varying proportions. The size of the granular material corresponds to that of normal plastic granules and may therefore be incorporated homogeneously without further processing.
Gravimetric dosing may be used to incorporate the granules, avoiding the use of an extruder. Additionally, these stabilizers are suitable for use in static agitators and roll mills.
RASCHIG's further research in the field of hydrolysis protection resulted in the development of Stabilizer 7000A. Using state-of-the-art, patented technology, RASCHIG produced Stabilizer 7000A in powder form with free-flowing, non-baking properties. It enables dust-free handling and may also be gravimetrically dosed as solid matter.
